Festive feast was prepared on Thursday August 27th 2015 at the náměstí Republiky in Prague. The event was a part of the global campaign Respect life. This gala dinner’s objective was to present the public with byproducts of their everyday choice to support animal industry that cruely exploits and enslaves sentient beings all over the world.

PRAGUE – On Saturday, March 23rd there will be an animal rights protest held in addition to the Easter market. Activists chose this day to show the public the real price of eggs. You will be able to see with your own eyes one-day-old roosters who were killed by gas which is a common practice of egg industry.
Easter with its symbol of painted eggs is coming. Therefore, animal lovers decided to highlight one of the many hidden practices of animal production. At 15 o‘clock several dozen people will gather dressed in protective suits in the lower part of Wenceslas Square. Each of them will be holding a dead rooster in their hands.
Currently, there are 25 countries participating. The purpose of this event/campaign is to promote the ethos of the 269 movement – which is to bring animal liberation to the forefront of human consciousness and commit to do our part in bringing an end to the animal holocaust. We also wish to raise awareness about veganism, and all its benefits.
The event may be any form of demonstration, protest, rally, branding event, direct action, performance art, etc – As long as it conveys the message: Respect Life. You may even have a Vegan Day after the actual protest/event to promote veganism and to further educate about the plight of all non-human animals.
All around the world Christmas is a symbol of serenity, peace and charity. However, this symbol relates only to humankind, or pets eventually. But towards some species, carps in particular, are humans senselessly cruel just because they believe carp is a tradition and it belongs to the Christmas atmosphere. So starting with the second half of December Czech cities are filled with overflowing vats and streets are drowning in streams of blood. Because of that we would like to ask you for help to stop this bloody tradition.
PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC – Animal rights activists (movement 269 Life) will meet on Wednesday, 14 May 2014, 16 P.M. in front of the Australian embassy to express their disagreement with inhuman and unnecessary “live exports”, strikingly similar to the now banned slaves transports. In the coming week such gatherings will be held in front of Australian embassies all around the world.
100 years ago, they would have laughed at you for suggesting that women should have the right to vote.
50 years ago, they would object to the idea of African Americans receiving equal rights under the law.
25 years ago they would have called you a pervert if you advocated for gay rights.
They laugh at us now for suggesting that animal slavery be ended.
Some day they won’t be laughing.”

By doing so, they aim to express their disapproval of the violent tradition, which involves streets filled with fish stalls and sellers with hammers in their hands, eager to kill and fillet the carps customers choose – all this in public, for all eyes (even children’s) to see. Activists‘ aim is to call the attention of the general public to the pain and suffering that millions of carps undergo each year in the name of customs and traditions. It is a reminder that Christmas is a celebration of peace and love, a reminder that there are no rational reasons to celebrate in bloodstained streets while looking at cut-off fish heads. PRAGUE – On Saturday August 24th a demonstration for liberation and solidarity for animals will take place at Andel.
Activists will gather at 11:30 to silently raise awareness about the violence we, humans, bring upon other species. They might not speak our language, but they feel pain the same way as we, the people.
On Friday, August 23rd 2013 at 5pm a public auction of slaves will take place on Old Town Square(Staromestske namesti).
This is yet another form that animal rights activists chose to bring more attention to the fact, that there is a direct link between enslavement of people and animals. In both, violence and exploitation follow the same patterns. Similarly to the human slaves in the past, animals are considered inferior and therefore ripe for subordination.
